The game combines a Sim City style of economic strategy with a military strategy bent. Basically, you can control all sorts of basic government features, from taxation to creating infrastructure and more and like Sim City your population's approval of you goes up and down depending on how your moves are viewed by them. You do have AI controlled cabinet members that can help you achieve some of the goal you want your country to take.Of course, you can't fire nuclear missles in Sim City but you sure can in Supreme Ruler 2010, along with controlling tanks, fighters and more to go up against your enemies. Battlegoat has a free-form mode as well as separate scripted campaigns that you can chose to play.
