Atari has released a playable demo (local US mirror ~ 287MB) for Axis And Allies, allowing you to check out this 3D WWI based real-time strategy game by Timegate studio. The demo includes two tutorial missions, one single-player mission situated at the Battle of Stalingrad, and a random map generator that features solo, LAN and Internet skirmish play with up to 4 players. The massive 287MB download can also be found on FilePlanet, 3DGamers, WP.

i downloaded the demo but receive a unknown error message immediately upon trying to install the downloaded file. i have directx9.0. any ideas?
