As promised a couple weeks ago, Sierra has now released an unrestricted version of the free Starsiege: TRIBES retail game. The package contains version 1.8 of the full game along with the retail patch to upgrade it to version 1.11. The 135 MB download (or 113 MB w/o DirectX installer) can also be found on Sierra, 3DGamers, GH, WP, FileFront.

This is the game that got me into pc games and out of consoles,it's a bit outdated of course but still an excellent game,with some great mod's out there,which if i remember right are all server side,so no need to download e'm..this was good back in the pre-broadband era.It ran great on high end pentium two's,should be screaming on my Athlon64 ;=} Bonus. Worth a look for any fps fans that have never played it

patch to 1.11 (its included) and you will be able to connect to master server.

I had already thanks,i had Zone Alarm turned off,but it was still blocking the ports needed.got rid of it now we sweet;=} Dont need it anymore anyways got a router that does a pretty good job...

Seems like there is still life in Tribes.;=}And yes Athlon64 and DSL does really make it a lot faster,especially in the Ultra renegade mods

MASTER SERVERS ARE DOWN !! somebody fix that pls! I'm desperate to play ULTRA PLS Somebody...put the master servers ON.
