Half-Life 2 & Counter-Strike 2 News - briefly

The chaps over at ShackNews just came back from the Half-Life 2 show and there are a few things they have learned:

- Half-Life 2 multiplayer is Counter-Strike on the Source engine and will be available at the same time as when Half-Life 2 ships. Counter-Strike gameplay doesn't seem to have changed much, if at all. Graphics of course, are much improved.
- Half-Life 1 is also ported over to the Source engine and will be available at the same time as when Half-Life 2 ships.
- During the presentation, Gabe Newell reiterated that Half-Life 2 is shipping this summer, although no specific date was given.
- Team Fortress 2 was not mentioned at all.

Also Eurogamer brings news that Half-Life, its two addons and some of its more popular mods, are to be updated with Half-Life 2's source engine. Valve's managing director, Gabe Newell, stated that they would not be free, instead they are to be released in shops and for payment downloading on Steam, at a probable budget price.Counter-Strike, Team Fortress, Opposing Force and Blue Shift are also expected to join Half-Life in the update, and can be expected for release at the end of Summer. Can Valve sink any lower? Supplying CS2 with HL2? No self-respecting gamer would want to be seen with CS2 on their shelves!

im still wondering why "it was delayed" is a good reason to not buy a game. Yeah it was delayed.. many games are but why would that make the game crappyer then what it was in the first place. If anything it gives it a chance to become better. There is a chance for it to get crappier too. I say just wait till the damn thing hits the self and then make you comment off something other them a shit load of hype. why dont u people save some time and just not read or listen to the hype.. hype can to easly kill a good game.

From the looks of it there isnt really any new content for "CS2" pffft... Those graphics should have been with CZ. Wait a minute i dont care because i hate CS.. HL2 is gonna be great tho (ns on hl2 anyone :P )
