As promised, the playable demo for Unreal Tournament 2004 (our local mirror) has been released, allowing you to check out the upcoming next game in the multiplayer shooter series from Epic Games, Digital Extremes and Atari. The Unreal Tournament 2004 official demo includes five playable game modes, and offers fans their first taste of Unreal Tournament 2004's two new game modes: the introduction of the hyper-charged Onslaught mode and the return of the fan-favorite Assault mode, which last appeared in the original Unreal Tournament. The demo also features established gametypes like Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and Bombing Run. The 209MB demo is mirrored on FileFront, 3DGamers, AVault, FileShack (registration required), NVIDIA's nZone, WP, FileRush, FilePlanet, NGI.it, GameSpot, AbsoluteGamers, BoomTown, IGN, LoadedInc, UT2003Files, GameTab, Tiscali Games. You can find more mirrors here. (Please note that we have several thousand people downloading right now, so if the pop-up does not work, retry).

Also the dedicated Unreal Tournament 2004 Demo Linux Server is available, for those looking to get servers online. The distribution contains all the data needed to serve games on the demo's five maps: AS-Convoy, BR-Colossus, DM-Rankin, CTF-BridgeofFate and ONS-Torlan. The 185MB server can be found at 3DGamers, FileRush, VE, FactoryUnreal, WP, Absolute Gamers.

The games a big ripoff. Its just UT2003. They just made the guns smaller and fixed some of the complaints ppl had. Should be a patch instead of a game. Huge ripoff unless ur obsessed with UT dont buy it.

Just to let you guys know when this game is released you'd better have a shitload of hd space because the bare minimum is 5.5 gigs spanned over 6 yes thats right 6 cds unless you get the special edition which is in dvd format and is on 2 dvds and the second disc is modding tools and tutorials i'd hate to know what the maximum full install space that is required. Oh and just for a fair warning don't start the goddamn nvidia vs ati shit its getting a little old

ut2004 is the worst game asd? lol wtf system are you running it on. i suggest upgrading, or putting in a new brain, or possibly both. Onslaught and Assault mode are absolutely fucking amazing, you'd have to be a total spastic to say otherwise, the whole game is refined and works like a dream. It's gonna easily kick ut2003's and u2xmp's ass when it's out.

its not even worth posting here anyways, i bet neither of you know exactly whats coming in the full version of ut2004, you're judging the demo as if it's the full game, the full game is on 6 cd's *smack your heads now*. oh and asd, ut2003 wasn't a perfect game by far.. ut2004 is the game thats shaping up to be perfect, the vehicles are only in certain game modes, if you want to play normally then just do a deathmatch instead of onslaught and assault, those are NEW game modes you dumbass. how can they ruin a game by adding these clearly amazing NEW things. the entire engine has been refined and patched up, its been mentioned how many internal builds the game has been through, the whole game is significantly smoother and diverse... community support is gonna double ten-fold when this game is out. this mainly applies to asd, jbyrd and anyone else who says otherwise.

SiD, in my opinion it's far better, infact it seems almost laughable that people still make these comparisons. UT2004 is in a much higher league both in terms of playability, stability and graphics. you just need a good machine to be able to truely appreciate everything.

UT2004, 05, 06, 2020 ETC ETC will all be inferior to the ORIGINAL UT. UT has simply gameplay, nice graphics, HUMAN players NOT FRIGGING ALIENS & ROBO HUMANS with TRIPLE JUMP BOOST MODE ! EPIC have lost the PLOT they should have enhanced the GFX and added several maps to the original ! tell it like it is .........

Played the demo yesterday.Internet play with same ping as ut2k3 (110-130)DOES NOT FEEL VERY GOOD.Losses many frames.Perhaps when the ut2k3 servers upgrade to ut2k4 everything will be OK

d/l it now so I cant say much yet, but I heard it's nothing like the original UT. It should have it's name changed to Quake 5. ATI & nVidia.... all I have to say is, GO THE VOODOO!!! or the S3!!!. I'll stick with my Intel i740 PCI card.
