As promised a couple days ago, Egosoft has released a rolling demo of X2 - The Threat, their space combat exploration sequel.  This non-playable demo requires installation and runs for some seven and a half minutes to demonstrate the game's universe, space ships and other features. The download is mirrored on 3D Gamers, WorthPlaying, FileFront,

Egosoft's X2 The Threat rolling demo is by far the best I've seen, and I will be very happy when the game is out. I'll have to buy 2 copy's as soon as its released, why because Games from Egosoft are so fantastic everyone that gets to see one wants one or two or more copy's. The rolling demo tests your computer and shows you the results, you also have options that can alter the graphic setting to see and test it at different resolutions. If you ever wanted a fantastic space game where you the player can fly and own lots of ships including big ships, and station that you can own and fly inside of and dock at a docking ports, then this is the game for you!. I know on my Pentium2 400 is a bit old, but it runs good so why not download the rolling demo and test your computer, and see what it runs like. It could turn you into a hard-core X gamer.

Yep, i second that, it seems cool. It looks good for sure.....i hope it won't be cancelled like Galaxy Andromeda was. :( I hope it will be better then Freelancer, since online, all the people care about is getting billions right away, buying the best ship, all in one day.......that is just boring... I think its more fun if you do the X2's example, you do the non-storyline missions first, get all the cash up to a set amount and then do the the storyline mission(s). I am looking forward to X2, Half Life 2, Doom III and SW: Knights of the Old Republic.
