According to Russian crackers, denuvo itself uses 30-40% of cpu, due to a new layer of protection. That new Denuvo versions at least can cause massive amounts of CPU usage has been proven already with the Rime disaster. And when you read about that, then its very likely, that Ubisoft tried something similar, by increasing the checks per minute, to make it harder to crack, and will lower it in a later patch, when the release hype is over. Of course then the issues will most likely be solved. How they put it with their stupid "30 FPS" phrase, makes that even more likely.

Now, GearNuke has a statement from Ubisoft denying the recent rumor saying Denuvo DRM is causing an additional 30-40% CPU usage in Assassin's Creed: Origins. â€œWeâ€™re confirming that the anti-tamper solutions implemented in the Windows PC version of Assassinâ€™s Creed Origins have no perceptible effect on game performance,â€ said Ubisoft in an official statement.

Someone will probably crack the game, and then we'll see how it runs without dual DRM garbage layered over it.

Stupid arguments.
I did play one of the early Denuvo-protected games in the beginning - without a crack. I did not notice any performance issues. Although that was not an UBI game.

I don't care, either way: cracked games come without Denuvo anyway and UBI's games suck (so far it seems like a golden rule and like all golden rules, there was only one exception so far: Settlers 7. Albeit, Settlers is not a UBI franchise)...

this is the issue with current denuvo implemented in that particular game. Older denuvo is irrelevant to these claims.
