This Next Generation story reports that Nintendo could have a lot of their Wii console available for its launch on Nov. 19 in North America:

The machine arrives in the U.S on November 19, and the number of units has been the subject of much speculation, and little revelation from Nintendo. But speaking to Mackenzie Financial, Bertram said, "We're looking at a million for North America at launch. If we get what we're supposed to get, this will be our most plentiful launch in the 15 years I've been at Nintendo. All signs are actually extremely positive."

I think they ripped open old GameCubes and just repackage them to meet the demand. ;) Well, sarkasm aside, I'll be happy if I can stroll in and just grab me a Wii, a bonus nun-chuck, Zelda and Metroid without hitting a wall declaring; "SOLD OUT GO AWAY NOW"! Gimme some Zelda lurve!

if theres a jedi game, ill get it... i'll have to get a proper tv too, so it wont be cheap :P

holding your arm out for 1hour or more playn a FPS on wii sounds a bit silly to me. why didnt they jsut add this feature to GameCube the GFx never changed at all.. still a kids system..
