Many interesting articles today...
Somewhat surprising about IE7, though that page keeps timing out so I can't read the article. Firefox makes coding to w3 standards so easy as was pointed out in a link a couple weeks back.
For the switch to Macs... I've worked extensively with both for the past twelve years or so, in-house graphic design on Macs at a newspaper and a fair amount of freelance work out of my home on a PC. Personal preference is for the PC, for the price of a good Mac one can build a powerhouse PC which has a bit more versatility, i.e. playing games when one should be working.
Rather enjoyed IdiotToys take on the BINOCA01.
For the Greenland article... is anyone really surprised after the snows of Kilamanjaro disappeared? Similar happenings in Antartica, anyone see the article on the BBC news site a week or two back about certain clouds showing up in Antartica that really shouldn't be visible? And no, I'm not a whinging lefty, Snows of Kilamanjaro is just my favorite work by Hemingway. |

| If only Bill were still around to defend it in a delightfully satircal way. |

| I use Firefox more because I appreciate how it supports nearly everything. IE has too many holes in terms of support. I'm really becoming more and more fond of Firefox as I use it. I also know as I work supporting Web like applications that IE7 is going to causes businesses a lot of money if they try and push it as immediate replacement of IE6. I've said it before but IE7 feels like a cheaply hacked up IE6 with tabs and it's customization is no better than it was before, actually worse in some cases. |
