The newest issue of Game Informer magazine has a cover story that reveals more about Need For Speed: Carbon. Need for Speed Carbon - apparently so called due of its relationship with "Carbon Canyon" in California, where racers often meet up to drive around very fast and probably "race

This very dear series to me is deteriorationg at breakneck speeds. It was once an amazing arcade racer on open roads, with exotic cars, pretty smart cops, awesome game programming, and great replayability. And now it's mutating into some sort of (c)rap culture byproduct for illiterate bastard retards. Maybe in 20 years when i finish my Delphi made OpenGL engine i'll make a racer that will bring EA to shame Sad

Lmer please do, I would be forever grateful. This series has been going downhill for so long that it's levelled off at the bottom. If they remade the original on nextgen console and pc, and did nothing put polish it for 2years there would never need to be another of these damn games. Just add on packs. Well maybe one more time when graphics take the next big leap :p

I don't have a problem with the graphics, they are always on par it seems. What really really bugs me is that you can't destroy the cars and that they don't show the smallest amount of damage. Once they get past that "the cars must stay perfect" fetish they will be alright.

I heard one time a response to that was that the car companies didn't want EA to create damage models because they didn't want people to think their cars were bad because of how they break in some way. Anyone dumb enough to think you can take an experience in a game and apply it to life is a retard and should be cleansed from the gene pool.

Bring on realistic damage you BASTARDS!!!!

I liked HP 2.
I skipped both fast and furious spin offs.
Black/White was fun.

Carbon seems to go back to the classics. Very Happy

I'm not a fan of anything EA does anymore. This game used to be cool when you could totally customize your car, brakes, engine, scoops and everything. Instead they put some lame and limited thing in there. That alone killed it for me. And face it, the PC doesn't hold a candle to Xbox racing games in terms of graphics. I've played Xbox racing games, various, and they kick total ass in graphics. What value NFS had, EA ripped it out a long time ago.
