I wouldn't mind seeing ads in a game like that, because we all know NYC is one big ad anyways. Heck, it'd even been cool if it were mimicked exactly as in the real world. What'll start to irk me though, and force me to tighten the grip on my wallet will be ads that have no business in a game and therefore stick out like a sore thumb. For example, a 21st century product in a 18th century game... The list could go on forever. I just hope they mind thier greed and don't take it too far. It should be OK for companies to just "break even".

Ads in games doesn't bother me either but I have to agree with you. There would have to be some sort of control on what gets in there and fits uniformly to the game. I mean, do you want a VD treatment to pop up in a Jack the Ripper game? Not likely...

Ads don't bother me at all. If it's not technology related, it might as not be in my face because I see right thru them anyhow. I think it's sad that they have to push their products into another area especially one that has been absent from advertisers since the start practically.

I prefer not to see some stupid tampon commercial in a heavy shooter. That will really take the mood away. So there just needs to be some sort of control on what gets in there.
