updated his .plan file with the official word that Doom 3, the long awaited first person shooter, has gone gold and will be officially released in the U.S. on August 5:

| well at least we know someone is gonna buy it.. no thanks. doom 2 was fun, but Doom 3 is a joke. those days are long gone and i'm not interested in a whopping 4 person MP.. no thanks. i sincerely doubt doom3 will do well in sales anyhow. it will be interesting to see the top sellers list. i'll wait for warez or when someone gives it to me. |

| @xxxx , I just want to try it and get it over with, Been hearing all the hype just want to see you know. But anyway I am gonna pay no more than what I paid for Far Cry and Call of Duty. 14.95 DOOLLARS EACH. For this price I reckon it is just fine and Dandy. |

Looks like the Americans are going to be the beta testers then!
I'm hoping that D3 will live up to hype, considering if it doesn't then there's nothing left apart from HL2. That means the end of an era for the games that truly made an impact in the 90s.
At least i can meet the recommended specs no problem! |
