People are so dumb, they rip sealant from pools or protest for algea, it is nice to see that we at least have our idiocracy with high end screens.

Linus is the top of the "useless but fun" waste. World goes apeshit? No prob, we watch in 1k fps.

I agree 100%. Linus is a clown; he tries to be funny, and sometimes it actually is a little funny, but I’m too old for this kind of humor. But it’s not about age; it’s because, unlike the younger generation, I know how things work and what can and can’t be expected. Unfortunately, the world is the way it is right now. The fact is also that Linux makes millions with his YouTube videos, while people who actually work earn practically nothing in comparison.

I’m also pretty active on LinkedIn, and there, a lot of Czech IT professionals (often programmers, for example) complain that the new cutoff for finding a job is now 45. If you’re older than that, you don’t stand a chance of finding work. I’d be really interested to know how this came about. I have friends who run various small businesses—electricians, carpenters, locksmiths, etc.—and they’re often over 50. They say that when they retire, they won’t have anyone to hand their businesses over to, because no one wants to work anymore. I’m really curious to see how this will turn out.
