| Seriously, that's the best lighting in a game i've ever seen. The concept art looks smart too. I wonder what will be the base PB cvars for this. And let's hope that the gameplay isnt fudged. |

Ya does look nice but i wonder what the pc and vidcard specs are for those the screens. STALKER appeared to have similar realistic lighting. Consider it bought! I like shot 2, that's pretty nice!! |

I'd expect it to be pretty damn high but then thats not such a bad thing if the actual game is worth playing for a few years. I'm sure Q3 was just such a push when it came out. If I can run it with reasonable eye candy (or as fugly as legally allowed) and get a stable 30 fps I'll be happy. The stupid arse 100+ solid FPS with everything on max will come with time.
Of all the disappointing titles and non-titles to have come out in the last year I do hope Splash get this spot on. ET certainly isn't a bad start at all, they've stated they don't want to stray too far from that and just build upon it. Sure it might just feel crap, they could do a CoD2 and stick 2-3 bad features in there or the engine and netcode (which I've yet to see implemented correctly in a D3 game) might be terrible.
Like all honest gamers though I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for the best, we deserve something that is a bit polished and thought through after all this console crap we've been getting. |
