The game is weird at first, but it's great.
I found choices don't really effect the story in the long term - in the end, it will all come down to the same thing, no surprises. Bad decisions can make things harder though.
The minigames are really stupid and don't belong in the game, they should be skippable.
Highly recommended, regardless.
