Japan's chief of Xbox operations,

Yoshihiro Maruyama, has confirmed that while a version of the Xbox 360 console which can read HD-DVD discs is a possibility, the next-generation DVD standard will never be used for games on the platform.

Am I reading this correctly?

No 360 games will display in HD formats?

So plugging a 360 into a fancy new HD-TV or HD ready monitor won’t make any difference and we will still get a reduced resolution to standard television ratio?
