Most people didn't doubt the card but couldn't get one. It released just as mining wave craze was starting and most people didn't want to pay $600-700 for that card. The lucky few gamers that snatched it for MSRP are certainly not complaining.
And no, I could have gotten it from MicroCenter since I am a continent away from it...
