Steam has dozens of games I own with Denovu in them. It’s not something new and has been around for eons. Some remove it others don’t. Steam is just a shop window. It makes buggerall other than Half Life and gear and hasn’t been secure at all. Hence why IP is protected by third party means. https://store.steampowered.com/curator/26095454-Denuvo-Games/
If you also notice you can’t play anything if it’s got an “enforced update” pending. Years ago you could turn that shit off. Now it’s permanent. Even if - like me- I turn on and have 20-30 games needing Kilobytes updates.
Just a steaming pile. Epic,GoG all you to update or not and still play. Fuck even origin and UBi allow you to play while still downloading the frigging game! |
