What they don't mention
Bohemia are fat bastards and thus the fatigue system is based off there avg employee weight and the distance they could run, actual fatigue ingame for combat ready soldier in perfect fitness will not be able to run half a fking mile with an empty bag without gasping and moving at a walking pace.
All vehicle tires will fall off and disappear at the slightest bump into a rock wall.. don't let AI drive a vehicle they will proceed to lose 2 front tires within 10seconds of the drive anyway, and carry on trying to get to the waypoint at a snail pace.
The engine and multiplayer on big servers and depending on mission is a lag infested shit pile, your fps is tied to the performance of mission and server.
You will need an overclocked intel i5/7 cpu 4gz+ to really even consider multiplayer on anything above 50 players most the time.
The game does have low memory usage, <2gb that's because its still fking 32bit, and bohemia will try to nickle dime its players at every opportunity with its crappy dlc packs. They should really fix there engine, they updated it in terms of gfx from arma2, but the cracks are showing that it is not a good engine to utilize modern hardware effectively. |
