I like how this was all rumored prior to any event in advance. Post event they answer in vague terms and even state there is no fee knowing full well how it was implied. People were confused so you had some saying stop the presses there is no fee now yadda yadda. This is a large corporation and they just didn't not have it figured out well in advance of what they wanted to do and how much to charge for different things.
Anyways the amount of double dipping by MS is going to get even crazier . |

This is technically correct of M$ to say, the Xbox supports secondhand games. It does, but no surprise they then kill the secondhand game market by stating it will be full price to activate them. Talk about a contradiction in terms..... So no one in their right mind will buy or activate secondhand. Thus the Xbox still supports them but they are dead out the box. Retailers will then either markup secondhand games to recoup more than their M$ 10% or kick M$ so hard and not handle any trade ins , therefore stifle game sales and hurt them seriously. I thought these thick $hits would learn from Nintendo locking one of their games to one person and them retracting the idea rapido!? Clearly they believe they have a dense following of Xbox owners who will buy into their ideas and measures, happily? You couldn't be more confident otherwise.
Cue; lots of embarrassed Xbox owners trying to justify owning one, and incapable of being angry/resentful against M$. Typical.....
If Sony supports secondhand games, truthfully. M$ is fooked! |
