I don't have a single issue with TressFX, its tessellation that can't be enabled as it screws up the graphics with crazy artefacts.
If your playing this with a GTX550 or below, these are the main cards people are having problems with. They are expecting a lot if they expect playable frame rates on high settings.
Good that they area on it though |

| A 550 should be able to power that game without issue. It's just a shitty game/engine that wasn't tested properly. |

Correction, drivers are the problem. The engine is superb!
I'm getting 38ps with everything ultra inc ssao x16 texture filter and tessellation turned off, that is the killer as its fucked! TressFX works fine but its nothing to write home about.
In global driver settings I have over rode the games setting for more pleasing graphics
Ambient quality
AF x8
FXAA on
AA mode enhance application
Antialiasing setting x16 CSAA
Antialias transparency x8 super sample
Texture filtering on
Clamp
Quality
On
Auto thread
Triple buff off
V sync adtive
Just ran bench at 1920x1080p
My returns;
Min 22.6
Max 48.5
Average 38.3
Bearing in mind that in game, there is absolutely zero stutter or slow down. It runs like butter off a hot pan! Once drivers are sorted this wil scream along |

I have a GTX680 and I can still get a very playable framerate with everything on due to the raw power of the card. However, I am hoping after the fix from nVidia and the devs, I can have enough head room to turn on 3D Vision as well. It'll look wicked in conjunction with TressFX. I can still do it now but frame rate will drop into the 20's when there is a lot on screen which is REALLY choppy.
Just to compare, this card CAN do Crysis 3 on Very High and TXAA with 3D Vision and still get a very smooth framerate. Therefore, I know it should be able to do Tomb Raider as well. |

| My 460 and 465 ran everything at 1920x1200 fine usually medium to high depending on the game. It's why I'm buying a 7950 3GB since it oc's like a beast and should last like those cards. Drivers will be the main source of woe. Planetside 2 was playable on high on those cards at that res provided you didn't have shadows on and zergs. The 460/560/660 lines are great cards for the money. I still think the 660 is sort of overpriced as I was able to pickup nice 460/465s in the 120-190 range with coupons and discounts by this time. Assuming this is partly due to the delay in new products until the holidays or next year. |
