this is scary....sort of. They are now @1.8 million$ What is scary you ask? Well, go to the page and open "backers" read rewards on the right side and how many backers each has. It is scary to see how many people gave 500+ $ to back them (5 people gave 10.000$) and what influence on the game they might have. I am not sure if letting someone, who has 5000$ to burn, design in game content is such as main characters is a good or a bad idea.

Also note how much money people are willing to spend on entertainment (not knowing if it will be entertaining at all) and how little are they willing to spend on helping those who's lives are in jeopardy. I know this previous sentence sounds cheesy but I cannot help but wonder about that stuff sometimes.

anyways, I wish them the best and I hope that the game will be good.

I have a feeling some of the larger ones like the one you pointed out are themselves or someone they know of sorts. I invested/helped a friend with a store and lost about 10k on that. He genuinely tried and had a detailed plan.
