LOL all players go dark side when posed with a moral choice in their actions? no so long as 'legal' bullshit protected in what they do its 'ok' LOL.... Oh puhleeze.The whole concept of war is immoral, wrong and stupid - it is a consequence of the fact that we're still uncivilized apes, we're just uncivilized apes with guns now. If we didn't have a society built on money, trade and competition (ie, mental and ritualized warfare even between individuals) we wouldn't have to kill each other over resources, which is what virtually all conflicts come down to.
The Battlefield series glorifies violence and war; they're practically recruitment posters for the armed forces. I don't so much mind that (though it's idiotic if people don't realize it), but I do mind if they get all sanctimonious and mealy-mouthed about it. Battlefield games are murder simulators, plain and simple. People want that and enjoy that (hell I like those games myself) but let's not get all sanctimonious and holier than thou over making it impossible to kill kids. The moral difference between that and killing poorly equipped young men who have had their parents/wives/children blown up by US drones as "unavoidable collateral damage" and just can't take it anymore is razor thin as it is. |

How hard would it be to make it when you shoot a civilian the rest of your unit yells at you and then shoots your stupid ass for killing civilians?
I mean really, if you want to enforce yer morals...DO IT. PUSSY. KILL THE FUCKERS that kill civilians...game over.
FUCK YOU CIVILIAN KILLING MORONS.
Oh and add friendly fire in yer other crappy games too...so you have to avoid killing NON targets. Good luck with that. |

Nah I take the opposite approach, if you want a realistic war game, then make it fucking realistic! What they are doing is just wanting a war game where the only other people (who can more easily be defined as enemies of your puppet government and its rulers because they are the armed resistance, where as women and children pose a harder socially engineered boundary whereby statists can make their drones and people at home think they have any fucking morals in what they are doing, just don't think just because you aren't shooting them, they aren't getting fucked by your country at a later date because of what you took part in.
And in the game those that are killable is only because it fits the storyline narrative they created where you play a dumb fuck drone who is told what to do (if they wanted to do something different they would put the choice of doing it different or not at all, only that wouldn't work in getting the player to go through the game and become more conditioned to thinking they were on the 'good side'. By taking out women and children it makes it easier to shove this motive of war on shit as more acceptable, as it makes out that anyone fighting against you and your army of jackboot thugs is in the wrong for defending themselves against scum who drop their morals when they signed up to any form of government affiliated organizations that can order them around like wage slaves. If that means they just have to delude themselves into thinking they have the right to invade or man hunt people for their political war/law controllers interests (the real problem causers) without so much as question then that is what they signed up for.
And if you shoot a 'civilian' (an old term used to describe a subject of royalty ie a FUCKING SLAVE, below in rank from civil servant shit head, or any other military policy drone rank) as opposed to another human being regardless of gender, age, or political bullshit nationality! etc then the 'game' should base your getting away with murder on if any witnesses were about, how good your teammates are loyal to you so they stfu in any phony political investigations (by scum who don't actually care anyway so much as they do about the impression others have that they do) .. etc.. etc etc etc etc etc.. FUCK EA and military psyop scum and political war and law legal shit heads.
