DICE posted some more details clarifying the the Physical Warfare Pack, which has been the center of a lot of controversy the past week. According the post, DICE will make the Physical Warfare Pack available for free later this year even if you do not pre-order at a retailer offering the pack.

I always hated the "pre-order only" freebies because I was not willing to buy into anything without seeing it, hence, missing these freebies every time.
I do think that it is a good move from them, but I am not a BF fanboy, so I will not be buying this game - but wish to see a similar trend in the future. |

Usually these are, and can be easily enabled via a hack.
Problem is, game makers won't admit that because it would mean that they rip off the customers who did not preorder. |
