EA released a new Battlefield Play4Free trailer today showing off the map Oman. The map is filled with vehicles including jets, helicopters, tanks, boats and more.

I play this in beta. I enjoyed it for a while, the I realized that if I am not a sniper I'm a n00b.
Class makes no sense. Mechanic can't fix anything, medic is to weak, assault is raped by snipers.
All in all, for all of you old BF loving gamers - grat game! Pick up a sniper, snipe! Just like in CS, but here you have more option regarding position.
snipers should be DELETED out of EVERY game when it comes to MP. |

Why don't you utilize one of the many vehicles available?
They can't snipe you if you're in a tank or a jet, dude.
Blow them off the rooftop they are hiding on using either of the two above mentioned.
When I used to play BF2 and got sniped by someone on foot, I'd hop in a tank or chopper after the next re-spawn and reign down hell upon them.

because vehicles are easy to destroy, there are nests all over the place, and both sides have vehicles and they usually last about a minute or so, then everyone is on foot.
It's not that I don't/can't kill snipers, it's just that it's boring. I played BF2 too and it's a quite different in terms of gameplay.
btw. There was only strike at kahad map (maybe I got the name wrong), no jets, only one tank, apc and transports... |

Yeah, you argue some good points there. A group of guys could hide behind or around pretty much anywhere and anti out a tank. I used to spend 3-4 hours a night doing that. That was 6-7 years ago for me.
Although the video for BFPlay4Free looks awesome, I think I will wait for Battlefield 3.
Mind you, I will have to upgrade my PC before possibly playing a game like that. |
