By combining the color and the depth image captured by the Microsoft Kinect, one can project the color image back out into space and create a \'holographic\' representation of the persons or objects that were captured.

heh.. what again?  no I'm not freaking out, I do already understand what its capable of... good to see some useful stuff might make it out for those who find some use for it on the PC. Could see a few more kinetic devices being used simultaneously to create a complete virtual room capture. Still wouldn't bother wanting to own one for xbox360.

...Well I'd be more concerned about wiretapping/ eavesdropping, afteral you are already profiled by using the device on a x360. And you could mute the microphone on the device through live, doesn't mean its prevented from being enabled and used by 'legally protected' scumbags.

...I wouldn't trust MS as far as I could throw shit on them.
Pulling the plug on the kinetic is about the only thing you can do when its on the x360. And with ever increasing criminalization retardation in unlawfully biased laws being created to legalize government approved scumbaggery. Its not hard to see what kind of morally inept control freaks are desperate for in home surveillance possibilities. Their enemy is anyone who doesn't agree with their criminal actions. |

Why you worry about Kinekt when you have a cell phone ? 
You know, they can easily listen to you because the Answer and Hang up functions on the phone are software operated, not hardware  |

@tride you're right and I do already know that, its just another area for cretinous spying and locating people.
But I'm talking about capabilities of Kinect here, and how it will be used for even more extensive targeting and profiling or mining and trolling through the personal lives of people. |
