Dragon Age, is a perfect example of how good an RPG can be on console.
Those that clasify the console as a being incapable of producing anything as good as the PC are idiots. With the console -which is obviously a PC minus mouse/keyboard. The working the controller into the interface etc is better than PC in many respects and less clunky. The main thing is about gameplay, the system specs on PC nowadays for RTS/RPG is bordering on rediculous. No one describes footprints/explosions etc when they talk about RPG or RTS, it's MAINLY about the story and it's quality, what you can DO in the game.
Diablo et al, was unique and sold millions because of it's low specs and easy to pick up interface. The last Deus Ex on PC was utter piss! The specs a joke and had as much empathy as a carcase. Nothing to do with console, just crap input and a tired and dead franchise.
I fail to see how revitalising it will spupercede the original? Only those that never played it will embrace it. Be it on PC and console or bloody Iphone, it's the story that counts.
Dungeon Seige III is coming out on Console along with Dragon Age 2, Fallout Las Vegas. It's just people trying to justify spending thousands to play the same game on PC that <cough> spit the dummy. |
