| I wonder if they skip the stupid 30fps frame lock this time. Yeah, like this has any chance happening with these console sell outs. |

Why so concerned about the 30fps lock? if the game is designed for consoles, it means it will run smoothly at that framerate.
The way i see it, if it runs smoothly, i don't care how many frames i get, but then again, i am not a framerate junky, where if it isn't getting a solid 60fps or higher, the game sucks. |

| Yeah I know.. if the game runs smooth at 30fps then so be it. I couldn't care less since all games run smooth for me anyhow. |

Same here, unless the game itself doesn't run well on the video card i am using or its just too much action for anything to handle.
Like on Star Trek online, having 10 battleships (2nd biggest ships in the game) blowing up at the same time AND 10 lots of Torpedo Spreads exploding (AoEs) puts my game into a slideshow. lol
Force Unleashed was perfectly smooth for me, it was designed to run at 30fps, so being locked at 30fps or being unlocked to 60fps makes no difference to game performance, not for me anyway.
In the end, if its designed to run at 30fps, its good enough for me. |

| James your STO reference is a bad one because Cryptic makes a horrible game. |

30fps is playable but it's far from smooth. Someone here made a remark saying "30fps is smooth....if you play golf games". Unlocking 30fps cap on last transformers game made a world of difference for me.
Developers would let all games run at 60fps...if console hardware could push 60fps constant. I just wonder, why don't they at least try pushing 40-45fps? 45fps would be within vsync and is hell of a lot of smoother than 30.
30fps can be made to feel smooth with smart usage of motion blur, but so far I have only seen crysis managing that. |
