haha points and laughs at UT3.. boy Epic you sure do suck, this time!... let that be a lesson to you.. you've practically abandoned the PC gamer, the guys who bought and followed most of the UT series... and you've been sucking upto the console systems...and you think you can just chuck up a buggy/awful [insert various issues]+gui/consolized/cheater friendly game and think PC users will just go out and buy it., and not just buy the game, you want them to then go make maps/mods.. that PS3 gamers can play on , extending the life of the PS3 game.. friggin fools.

feel kinda sorry for Crysis not doing so well.. still after hearing reviews about how towards the middle/end game things start to detoriate.. according to most the best parts of the game are the earlier free play type of levels..I guess they did not learn much about Farcry. Confused

I have to agree, HAHA @ Epic.

But, I really don't understand why Crysis isn't doing better. I have to wonder how many of you a$$holes have downloaded a warez version and played it without paying for it.

If that's not the reason for crappy numbers it might be partly due to the moronic ramblings of the gaming press (I'm looking at you Adam (I suck) Sessler) saying that you need a $2000 upgrade to your PC to be able to play it. I have a weak PC that I built over 2 YEARS ago with a 7800GT 256mb video card (I know...it's sad) but I can play Crysis at 1024x768 with all settings on Medium and it still looks better than almost *anything* else out right now and has zero framerate problems. The only game that runs and looks better is CoD4 (I don't know what they did but that game just looks amazing and runs smooth as silk on my crappy system).

Anyway, the point of my babble = if you haven't bought Crysis because you think you can't run it...go buy it now please. Also, if you didn't buy it because you hated the trigen in Far Cry (like the rest of the sane world) then be assured that the first 2/3rd of Crysis (before you switch from fighting Koreans to fighting Aliens) is well worth $50. Sure, the alien fighting parts are even *worse* than the trigen crap from Far Cry...but the first 2/3 of the game more than makes up for it.

If your system cant run the demo then dont bother buying the game. I prefer the warez version as its the best way to try before you buy method. Hail to the crackers and the hackers and a two fingered salute to the corporatised whores.

buy crisis why? So i can play it on MED settings? are you mad man???? WHY BUY A GAME IF I CANT PLAY IT ON HIGH SETTINGS!!!!!! thats the whole point my man....
btw after half way it the game it gets shitty, its like they stop trying, not to mention the MP sucks.. its really bad.
i only buy games if the MP and SP are solid, crysis dosnt have eather. not to mention it was made for a system that isnt out yet for pc. i have 2 gts 320m amd 5600, crosshair asus mobo, 2 gigs 6400 and i even DOWNGRADED from Vista to Xp for the game only to see an increase of 10 FPS for the game.

so that gives me 40 fps with some stuff on high and some stuff on med and low.... 1280:1024 on a 22inc mon... looks like shit. its the only game i cant play on high its not optimized for pc my friend. my pc isnt the best but i should be able to play it better settings...

This is hilarious.

In regards to Crysis...I think sales are low because:

a) the engine is badly optimised and or not designed to scale nicely. I swear it looks hardly any better than Farcry on anything less than high detail.

b) It's god damned boring. I almost didn't finish the demo! I just had this powerful sense of deja vu and I felt a strong urge to go sit in a corner tearing cardboard boxes into strips instead.

As for UT3:

a) boring

b) "have we met before?"

Crysis in my mind is no more than a pretty benchmarking tool that you can run around in. So no thanks, I will not buy it, and I will not download it illegally either. The demo was more than enough to cement my thoughts on it.

Crysis in German is called Schisis as in Schiss. To me it seems emphasis is placed on the suit instead of the plot, no matter how sophisticated a game gets if you get bored too soon then it negates all the work. Looks like Crysis team need a decent team of script writer (imagination is the key).

Crysis was flagged as the 'ultimate' DX10/Vista game. It's flopped because like Vista it's full of masses of hype and doesn't do the business +PLUS+ it's got more $hit stopping bugs than the number of crap aliens in it!
The other side of the coin is that M$ is forcing folks over to Vista when XP is absolutely perfect for gaming, and would be for several more years.
I think gamers are just getting sick of the bull... and voting with wallets.
Who wants to have to go out and build a new PC AND buy a new OS because M$ tells you that XP isn't supported next year? No one.

Hell if i had just gone and bought a graphics card the equivalent price of an XBox360 and PS3 combined, then got sub 25fps settings in a GAME. I think i would be wondering/hesistant were M$ AND developers were going with regards PC gaming?!?!
What happened to 'good old gameplay?' What is it with UBER graphics and $HIT SHORT games these days!!!!
Crysis, World In Conflict & Bioshock...pfft
I can guarantee that a few PC owners are putting cash into a console this XMas, rather than PC hardware.
Who's fault is that.........
