Valve just sent us a press release announcing that
BioShock, the highly-anticipated and award-winning first-person shooter by 2K Games is available for pre-purchase now via Steam. Starting today, gamers can pre-order BioShock on Steam (www.steamgames.com) for the price of $49.95 in the US and $54.95 in Europe.

Recommended System Requirements....
im sure u can run this game on a lesser system no problem, you jsut wont see all the goodies that i will. |

I'm hoping my GeForce 7800GT 256mb will play it good enough.
I suppose i was very lucky before i upgraded to it from a Radeon 9800 Pro 2 years ago, i read that 'up coming games' (i was waiting for Oblivion) would need Pixel Shader 3.0 and that hunch has kept me gaming longer since it supports it.
Since i've bunged in 2gig RAM and a faster CPU it's prolonged my gaming for another year at least (for me anyway)
Let's hope we get Bioshock before this dick get's his hands on it

Bioshock is a violent game no-doubt, and it does have little girls for you to kill at will - but it's blatantly heavily wrapped in a fantasy world and isn't supposed to recreate real life in the same ways as say GTA. How many times have you shot fire balls from your wrist?
Next on the hit list: Beautiful Katamari, for disgusting scenes of mindless destruction and sticky theft.
