This game has huge potential to be fantastic. I'm glad it's coming out before San Andreas. If it is what it claims to be I'll just be waiting for the bargain bin for San Andreas.

The only other games coming out this year that I have this high of hopes for are Call of Cthulhu and Stalker (which may be next year).

If you don't know about it yet, go here and read:

http://www.xenus-hq.net/index.php?l=en&x_menu=features&x_action=features.html

I saw a post comparing the last video of the game to a FarCry done by special ed students. But that's comparing apples and oranges. FarCry was a linear shooter and nothing more. Sure it looked great and had (mostly) well designed levels. But it was still nothing more than another shooter set in a pretty jungle/island locale with long view distances.

Boiling Point on the other hand may not look *as* good (in other words it won't have the same lush jungles maybe) but it is a HELL of alot more than a linear mission based shooter.

The fact that it's a 625sq kilometer map with NO loading zones and is completely non-linear kinda gets my interest in a big way. Like GTA in the jungle or even a modern day Morrowind with vehicles(but even those seem a simplified description).

Of course it could still suck completely. But if it isn't a buggy pile of dung, and the AI works well, then I think it has huge potential. More of an RPG/FPS hybrid and certainly not another mindless shooter like FarCry (although I do love FarCry and happen to be replaying it right now).

Sorry for the long (and my first) post. I'll be buying this the day it becomes available so I'll post impressions here if anybody is interested.

I thought you should know that at least I'm interested Smile
It seems this game has lots of potential. I'm looking forward for this game as well as Stalker because both these games are beeing developed by Ukrainians, my fellow country-men Smile It is my duty to support them!
HX, would you write a review of this game?
