right at the start he says it's just for that specific monitor model. |

Which you cannot hear without audio...
In any case, if it's model-specific, it's useless - you'd want to buy only one and use it with any monitor you get.
Though I am still skeptic about its real value... |

Well audio is quite common these days...
anyway, real value of TN panel based screens these days? I'd say basic office work and cash registers. If you are not doing well on 60Hz and 12ms input lag, you won't be doing any better even on CRT. |

It is, lol...
Family was still sleeping when I watched it, so I had to turn it off.

Right. But I don't think office workers and clerks are that tech-savvy - or that they even care about such input lag... Not even professional graphics designers... I guess you're saying the same... Meh... Too sleepy... |

yes saying the same. Until I see some more widespread solution for frame syncing (such as v-sync is at the moment) I can only be glad that genie is out of the bottle and that's it. It's a step in the right direction but I couldn't care less about anything TN related (unless they make TN panels have 178/178 angles and real 1000:1 contrast on 24-27" panels, which is unlikely to happen because you know, SPVA, AMVA, OLED, etc.) |

Speaking of panel, any rumours on a good 16:10 24-27 inch display?
God forbid, a 4k display with the same feats?
All the panels they post here at shitty 16:9 and my current display (which I love) is not being sold anymore, but I'd need another two... |

unlikely. They manufacture and cut panels to 16:9 now universally, for LCDTV and monitors alike. New "pro" LG series panels are all 16:9 as well. Just hide the taskbar and whoila |

What a f'd up industry this one's becoming, too...
I need the taskbar in Win.
There's no taskbar in games and it's nice not have to look up and down so often. |
