Doom3 #1, what a joke. I haven't found a person yet who has finished the game that didn't say it was complete garbage. You think word would get around. Even other developers are putting the game down on their home pages..

ya well n00b gamers would like it. those smart enough to realize it was a mere offering to boost financing for his rocket ship know better. doom3 aint revolutionary unless you call obvious painted shadows on textures state of the art, dumb ai, predictable enemy spawns, linear non-imaginative story line a game complete masked in darkness(was doom1 and 2? no). When a flashlight mod comes out the same week ur game has that pretty much sums up what people thought of the dark. being a person who played doom1 etc when they actually came out then Alien and System Shock, sorry, never got scared once in doom3. doom3 excitement will last you about 2-4 hours after which time you will struggle to find the interest to play. i must hand it to carmack and co. i'm happy to see the length of his imagination in doom3 came down to locking all escape routes and spawning creatures in the room and then level over. clever. but 10 times like this gets a little dull. Tip: Stand on a box, throw nades. You can finish all ending maps with little damage. Doom3 is a piece of junk. you'll play it once in sp, play the brain dead mp and then appropriately place it on the shelf. only ones that will thoroughly enjoy doom3 is n00bs that haven't had a lot of exposure to games.
