What's wrong with him? less creativity? as i'm a gamer also a developer, graphical is a BONUS, as long as the content is there? creativity? well there's a lot sort of creativity out there.. but just look at the trend.. well.. i'm enjoying the game with same normal mapping, same water shader, same soft shadow, as long as the content is right. Art direction? even everyone using the same engine doesn't mean it all the same, just look around you man, see how the character are being model, objects.. compare it with eastern style anime style, that also using same engine.. its still got creativity don't they?

By creativity he means gameplay creativity, not better-looking games. Developers will spend more time thinking of ways to make shadows look more realistic than adding as much possible multiplayer content for a long-lasting replay value, for example.
