Wartorn is futuristic 3D real time strategy game, designed to be a complete and unique 3D strategy experience. The game uses a new engine called the ETTE engine, that also includes a very comprehensive AI which allows an unlimited number of camera angles. Wartorn includes 4 types of play : Skirmish mode (fast action gameplay without use the resources management functions), Full Strategy mode (allows players the most configurable and in depth RTS game experience such the ability to mine resources, build and customize their own units, formations and attack plans), Turn Based mode (allows the player to take turns in input control) and finally Hunter/Hunted mode where players take turns at being the Hunted or Hunter (can be applied to Skirmish or Full Strategy modes) - pretty various isn't it? Wartorn includes highly customisable units, 32 countries battle it out for the WarTorn World Cup, the Formation Editor (player now has the ability to design any formation desired and to save this for later use), the attack planner (each attack plan may be saved and a number of different attack plans may be combined and executed at the player's discretion), custom camouflage and insignia, open market trading system (player can buy and sell resources), Unit Transportation and the interactive map. The game graphic aren't bad, the landscapes consist of some very smooth looking 3D hills and valleys, just only units looking a bit weird (some soldiers reminds bugs from Starship Troopers ). Although the game is very various, am quite disappointed from the gameplay, the camera&controls are very uncomfortable, atleast for me (in compare with intuitive controls in Warzone 2100). But sure its only my opinion, Wartorn isn't bad and contains a lots of improvement unlike other 3D RTS games.
