I dont think its that bad. I have a windows insider installation in Gnome Boxes on Ubuntu, and i had no problems upgrading to windows11 dev channel.
And that's inside a virtual machine on Linux. |

Spot on regarding my concerns on e-waste.
The rest of it - well, it's just ranting.
Speculation based on the past.
You never know what's going to happen.
Here's what I do know: it would raise a lot of eyebrows if MS were going to force creation of a huge pile of e-waste globally.
EU will ban it for sure.
China will have its own chips and OSes by 2025.
So, MS would really be shooting itself in the foot by pulling that crap.
I do like that he stated what the biggest problem with Linux really is: the Linux community itself. If they put their heads together and focused on the right things for the next 4 years, noone would want Windows 11 beyond 2025. But, as you heard in the video, that's not going to happen because the Linux community itself is the problem.
I have 7 PCs in the house. 4 of them are Linux and only three are Windows. I can confirm Windows is needed only for gaming and some special software. I do think the days of Windows are numbered. The number of days depends on the Linux community itself: can they give up their ego for a few years and work as a team?
Lastly, who the fuck would want to run Android on Windows??? |

I think "most people use win7 anyways" still stands. As long as there is a pile of BS on top of facts, no one will even care to care. Just like me! |
