Considering the influx of POS games, disappointments like RAGE 2 and newest wolfenstein, and complete and utter lack of good single player games with co-op which is caused by the sheer loudness of Dark Souls (POS game) type games - it's no wonder people wanted to finally have some fun and not be murdered at every step.
