I'm not, either.
But, seeing how AMD gave Intel a run for its money, they might just do the same with Nvidia - and this is what I am hoping to see.
It should drive down the inflated prices very nicely.

actually, they are pricing it in-between 1080 and 1080Ti and going to market it against Ti.

Also, intel has a lot of money and a lot of customers because it has more than just CPU business. It has what AMD thinks it has: a whole ecosystem. I doubt they will care loosing a few i5 customers to ryzen 3/5. Imho, intel has been spoon feeding us performance bumps over the years and with each new "generation" I just bump my K by a 100MHz. Ryzen is basically just a cheaper version of a CPU that I do not want/need.
But that's just me, the guy that doesn't kill boredom by buying and building a new PC to do what previous one did just fine Smile
