That's a good decision, except I don't agree when it comes to things implemented of top of a platform (see Kodi issue).
It's like saying: You can't sell PCs with Windows installed because Windows can run illegal tools... But so can Linux and anything else...
I wonder what Dell, Asus and other OEMs will have to say when they won't be allowed to ship PCs with Windows...

Except that you can't buy Windows/Linux with Kodi installed with illegal addons.

No you are the one missing the point. They sell an Android box "pre-configured" with Kodi and a bunch of pirate addons. That is the problem and only the problem. I am pretty sure you can still buy an Android box without KODI on it but it wont be so easy to get all these pirate addons.
