Tri Synergy has released a playable demo (local US mirror ~ 182MB) for

Will of Steel, allowing you to try out the upcoming 3D real-time strategy game that is nearing completion at Gameyus Interactive. This demo contains one single-player level, but further details are not available. Another mirror:

This demo sucks! The units will stop moving within the game, the cursor is slow as hell to move, units will often run into eachother and then just sit there, and when exiting the game it will often hang at the last screen forcing a cold reboot.

This seems like an Alpha build of the game.

Points of note.

Pros:

*I find the game a cross between commandos/real war/mech commander. which aint bad. i will find myself playing these sorts of games quite often.

Perks:

* Fix the map. dodgy angle points. If the programmers have played any other of the same genre game they'll know what i mean.

*Its understandable how the programmers are trying to focus on content believing it will relate to the masses because of its recent history.
-I agree with dizza that there multiple unit movement issues. and certain balancing needs to be made.

not bad game though, addictive.

Regards
Adam C

The game looks really promising. I'd buy it BUT only after I got to play a demo that doesn't have so many bugs with it. If you go to the official website, there isn't a demo available to download from there... I'm thinking this is a leaked version.

I've just tried to play the mission 9 times. Game crashed to desktop 3 times. Every other time the units were no longer able to move after anywhere from 1 minute to 5 minutes into the game. I have yet to be able to blow up more than 6 things before it goes funky.

GMX will have to do a lot to save face from this demo.
