This is Bul**** this news of HL2 getting six months of deciding when it will be released to the public by Sierra\VUG! If HL2 comes out at the end of the year its all ready to late cos the game starting to look a bit pale in the graphics department! Look at Doom 3 and Medal of Honor Pacific Assault the graphics looks amazingly good and life like! There is one thing that I have faith in HL2 and that`s the playability and character animation cos it really looks great! If Valve can pull off an awesome gaming experience then all of the negatives will fade away and people will ignore the fact the the game almost didn't c the light of day! The one other most important fact is how is Valve`s employees feeling about this, all the people that worked on HL2 the programmers, animators, music composers, producers all the people that worked on HL2 and Gabe himself! They must be feeling so negative now! Lets all just forget about our self for one moment and think about how do they feel about all this!! Well If I worked so hard on a game as they did and the game never gets to be released I will be very disappointed and negative and just think of all the money they are loosing each time HL2 gets delayed! I really hope for Valve to bring out HL2 and for Sierra\VUG to have some hart on this matter!! Wink

HA.......

That's what happens when you put HALF LIFE and ATI..... DUMB AND DUMBER.... ATI with their Sorry drivers (and no fool is going to tell me otherwise Speak to the hand ) and Valve's with their lies and deceptions Liar .

@Forceful .....I understand what you are saying but I don't feel sorry for them, they got what they deserved. I mean this is not a new thing, may be once or twice.... yeah I'll feel sorry........but over and over, something bad happens pretty much every month. Last time I checked the people that are working there are getting paid. With this steam and this game...... they are going to make a lot of money. Most people will just try the darn thing... just to see if it is any good........but I am very skeptical that even when they do release it that it will have a lot of bugs.... I N E F F E C T -- S T E A M........ Laughing

P.S. I own an ATI and this is my honest opinion...........This is NOT to start anything.. Smile

I don't think they (V-U) are so stupid to miss Christmas selling season with so hot game, so expect it no later than end of November. BTW latest news (from a month or so) were saying exactly the same (Nov. release).

No matter what I believe in VALVE. I understand their state with all these delays and negative feedback from gamers. They can't predict eveything, all the possible problems. They're not machines. And I don't think HL2's graphics will look dated in a 6 month cycle. Even if they will HL2 is remarkable not only in visuals. What makes it special and innovative is the incorporation of physics and gameplay, an intriguing story, almost life-like characters, these kind of things. I'm not saying I don't want HL2 to be released asap, I'm just saying that if developers can't make it in time and the game isn't finished, be patient. I can assure you developers aren't too glad about the delays either. I don't think they sit in their offices and say to each other: "Hey, dude, it' great we haven't released it yet! I tell ya, we must delay it a few more times, these suckers are so mad about it, I wanna watch them bang their heads against walls!!!" What VALVE really needs now, is our support, so say smth like VALVE, I BELIEVE IN YOU!!! and wait.
PS: I'm from UkraineOur guys are making STALKER, which is ukrainian debut on the world gaming arena. But STALKER won't come until spring or maybe even summer. I just hope it won't fall with a loud thud and will reach HL2's level of playability. So if you're tired waiting for HL2, await stalker instead!!! Smile Though I still believe HL2's THE GAME I've been waiting forSo wait for STALKER, when HL2 is out.
PPS: Sorry for my English
