Although the outer design remains the same, there are some significant under-the-hood improvements. Samsung will release the Galaxy S23 Ultra to general consumers on the 17th of February.

Notice how we’ve gone from laughing at mobile phones that were like bricks in the 80-90s, full circle, to phones that are now flat bricks!

Phones were discreet & portable. Now they don’t need a cover, they need a rucksack! Totally useless for pockets, or summer gear. You need to carry its own container, like a laptop.
History back round.

You're right, phones are as big as a cow Smile On the other hand, my phone replaces my laptop in the field, I really only carry a laptop with me exceptionally. So the size doesn't bother me so much. But in general everyone complains about it, especially girls. That the phones are too big Very Happy

that is exactly the reason why I was deciding between the iPhone mini 13 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 on my last purchase. I need something that fits my pocket well, as I only use my phone to receive calls for A) food delivery B) parcel deliveries when I'm at home, and +messaging and navigation when I'm AFK. I ultimately decided to stay in the Android ecosystem, and I quickly got used to the Z4 and really like it. It is really an unusual feeling to slide such a compact thing into your pocket Very Happy

The other side is they are a huge target for thieves now! Sticking out back pockets or easily seen in bags or if you bring it out and stand in the street using it -great snatch target!!

This is a very good phone - especially when you look at the price!

Xiaomi is a nice company, I have from them Mi Band 6 NFC, Xiaomi Mi Body Composition Scale 2, Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2 Pro - and I'm satisfied with it all.

Samsung has better phones, but unfortunately also a lot more expensive Sad But for me is very important security (Samsung Knox) and then also the pen - I'm used to it. Samsung of course takes very good photos and I, because I can't take photos at all, have to have a phone that takes photos for me LOL.

Of course it is, and I hate it!

Yes, it is. That was sort of the point: if I have to carry a brick anyhow, it should at least provide value for the money. It was the result of a careful research/selection process.
I have it paired with my Mi Band 5 - same as last time we discussed; I chose not to upgrade yet.
I've been thinking about upgrading to a Redmi Note 12, but it does not seem much of an upgrade...
