So basically: Intel fudged the base clocks/boost clocks so they could market the 11400F as a competitor to the 3600/5600X at 65W TDP. And after that, motherboard makers are basically taking advantage of those TDP fudgings to cheap out on their budget board VRMs.

The reviewer is so good, nVidia isn't sending him any products anymore. Turns out, not only he was wrong with his wild speculations, he was also cynical and arrogant towards nVidia (I don't care) so there's that.
Now he is making claims to something that was already analyzed and addressed in-depth already. But he (Steve) being who he is, is doing his own analysis and he did it wrong, again.
Ignore his channel. He's just a shill for AMD. |

I did not even look at the video, but when you take a CPU and put into another board with the same clock, 30% performance drop is unacceptable.
Arrogance or not. |

yea it is. but it's not due to bad mobo, it's because one board has power limits removed by default and the other (30% slower one) is following Intel power limit specs. You can find out which board will do what by doing some light research and even less reading before you buy your ~120 dollar mobo. |

Research into Intel? What for? They've been going downhill for years with no worthy upgrade in sight. |

yea, just ignore them, it's best. Downhill, right
edit: the thing is, jokes aside, AMD was in the deepest hole on the Earth, once they finally emerged after TWELVE years of Intels total domination, they are finally somewhere. Knowing AMD, they have no where to go from now, and Intel now has to do better. It turns out, i3 11100 is better or egal for gaming as AMD 3600, for a fraction of the price. 11400F "destroys" (it's dependent on the mobo ) it, for less money.
But since you ignored all of this, it must be news to you
Worthy upgrade from what? Where are you coming from? I got 9700 for ~$250 I have no need to even look for upgrades for next year or so. By that time Alder Lake will be out (Q4 2021).
edit:
here, some research, easy

now compare system prices and that's that. |
