Wow this is great news!! Half Life 2 gets 96%!! I really hoped that it will be a great game and now my hopes are for filled! I take back what I said a few days back about the graphics that would look a bit pale in a view months, I was so wrong! Embarassed

Half Life 2 looks great and now we all know it plays even better!! Big Ups to Valve!! Wink

If they gave Doom3 a full 90% then they are obviously over generous with their scoring criteria so I don’t trust this score one bit.

I've played D3 and although the graphics are quite heavy for my 1.3Ghz Athlon with 512mb ram and a ti 4200, i liked it very much.
But to come to the point, why shouldn't get hl2 96%?
WTF is so important about 9% or 10% in a review?
If you like D3 more than hl2 its your choice, its also okay to do around.
Why do you argue about something you're not even informed about.
Or have anybody played hl2?
We will wait and see, and if hl2 is out, you can "discuss" about. But remember your own opinion is the important thing, whatever anybody says.
So don't bother anymore, and enjoy gaming (or waiting :).

It's like you saying that you LOVE herring and eat it every Fri, whereas another person would say 'it's alright'.

That's how folks will judge HL2 or *ANY* game, by personal opinion. Ce la vie. Laughing

Well, this score seems to have same reliability as D3 one. In ideal case it could get max 80%.
1) -10%: Poor multiplayer (just one TDM mode - crappy CS:S), for others you will have to pay extra (TF2 separate, DoD:S and others only in more expensive packages).
2) -10% Very buggy and highly unreliable MP base (source).
PS. AFAIK you have to have open internet connection to play even SP part and also for LAN MP game.
PS2. Overall - no suprise, someone gets first to review, should repay it.

D3 is crap. HL2 is way better. believe what you want of D3, to me that game was a 80% maybe and no higher. HL2 will earn it's review marks. 96% sounds fair to me. we'll let the modding community tell the rest.

Of course, Doom3 is a braindead zombie-shooter, boring as hell. HL2 will be 1000 times better.
