In other news,
The Cult of Rapture has a lengthy post on "the truth" about
widescreen issues in BioShock. Apparently this was a design decision, though it sounds like 2K is contemplating an official fix. In the meantime, a homebrew workaround is
available:

We understand there has been some

Well i got my copy of Bioshock CE in today -well done Game!! Shocked
My 'Big Daddy' figurine was perfect and not broken (bloody bigger than what i thought!) So before i leave on Sat for my hols i tried it..couldn't resist it -after finaly getting the auto-patcher authority...

Wow! Now what exactly is the problem with system specs? I'm playing it 1280x1024 with all settings on -apart from DX10 since my card is DX9 lol
I have X2AA as well and it's gorgeous .

Not bad for a 'old' GeForce 7800GT 256mb.

Very well optimised piece of software Cool

watch this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDzzAvzDTDo

im sorry the game is fun, but its not what they let us think it was.
just another shooter guys. if you go back to old areas splicers are spawned in the same area and triggers are everywhere where they spawn out of nowhere in front of your eyes...

bioshock is just a reskined version of systemshock 2
no gameplay value after the first week cause its all the same.
play it a few times and you will see what im talking about.
also im playing on better then recommended specs. dx10 the game dose look good..

try the airborne demo thats a great demo, better then bioshock gfx also. great gameplay...

I played it with max settings (except dx10, ofc), with my 7800gtx 256mb and amd athlon 64 3500+. It ran very smoothly, stuttering only once in the game when I got like 20 splicers on me.

Are the game companies buffing required specs to support new processor sells or something? O_o

I must say, apart from the story -only a good idea at start, not brilliantly developed and decaying at the end- and the great ambient in the game, its another STALKER. It dissapoints, lacking lots of promised features.
