Shrapnel Games
has released a playable demo (39MB) of RuneSword II, their
upcoming pen&paper RPG game. This demo offers over 500 turns (about 3
hours of game play) and you can't save in the creator. "You'll find the standard
Strength, Agility, and Intelligence ability scores, but you'll also find vices like Greed,
Lust, Lunacy, and more. There's turn-based combat that emphasizes strategic fun over
endlessly clicking the hordes to death. There's an epic sweep to the background story, but
characters are caught up in regional events, discussing strange occurences with the
locals. There are puzzles to challenge you, with multiple solutions and hints in certain
places." The release date for this title has been moved from September 28th to
