Mechcommander 2 Preview - preview

   XGR has written a new preview of Microsoft's BattleTech based real-time strategy game, Mechcommander 2.
"The camera controls for the game were one on the biggest problems that I found in this beta, simply becuase (and I am not sure if it's just my system or not) you cannot zoom in with the mousewheel and rotate an angle at the same time without the game crashing. Albeit, this is probably something they are working on but it can be QUITE frustrating having to restart the machine and boot the game back up becuase of it. The camera itself is very nice- smooth rotation, covers any and all angles, and is pretty instinctual. The level of detail is very sweet looking when you zoom in to check out your various vehicles and personnel. It doesn't even slow down when you zoom in/out and around while a battle is taking place."
Note: Mechcommander 2. has gone gold and is expected to hit store shelves in mid-July.
