Eidos Interactive has released a new patch for Deus Ex: Invisible War (12.2MB ~ direct FTP link), updating the North American edition of the first-person action role-playing sequel by ION Storm to version 1.2. The patch increases performance, fixes some GeForce FX 5950 graphics issues and also takes care of the fuzzy appearance of the "bloom, sniper scope, vision biomod, and other full-screen effects. too bad i played the game through three days ago, oh well, it ran ok with all stuff turned on except stupid bloom and at 800x600 (although we are talking about a highe end machine). but i ll check it out if the patch does what it promises. still its a shame that such a widely anticipated game had to start with so many bugs and performance issues, its like some kind of start up company made its first game...

probably did, but with a 9800Pro, a 2600+ with 512MB DDR 333Mhz can run this game smoothly on 1024x768 @ full details + bloom. :)

cant really say it was too easy, sure you dont have to type in keycodes and stuff once you got them, but i think that was ok. its really not that bad, it gets better with the time, and the gfx are great at some levels, its jsut that it gets too easy once you have all the biomods and weapons modification, you dont feel the need to sneak or not kill a character, often i did both, sneak around just to get the enemies sniped down. they could have made the enemies much more agressive, so that you cant just play doom on them. the story also doesnt get as interesting as deus ex 1, at a certain point the story doesnt change, and while you think your actions defines how the game ends, in reality its almost all decided in the last level, similar to deus ex 1.

one more advice for the people who want to play all the endings through without playing all the game again or without just watching the end videos with the blink player, THE SECOND TIME YOU ARE IN KAIRO DONT KILL THE PERSON SOME PEOPLE WANT YOU TO KILL. it doesnt matter if you leave him alive, but if you kill him at least one of the four official endings cant be achieved in the following (and last) level. -they didnt make it easy with the savings i think, cause i get the impression there is only a certain amount of saving points you have for each level, at the end i was missing some savegames.
