| Comments from Misterious Niciman | posted - 12:28 PM CET - Feb,17 2004 | | This game rocks! It was never so sweet to kill baddies - absolutely best physics in a game, frankly speaking looks better than physics in HL2! Boddies fly spectacularly, you can pin them to the walls, toss them around the level with some energy beam, shoot grenade in the middle of the crowd and its like when the many mr Smiths in Matrix Reloaded get thrown in the air :) Lightning gun looks great and has a combo with the primary mode, where you shoot the metal disk that releases high energy shochs to anyone nearby, and you can even pin this disk to the monsters, not only shoot it to the ground/wall. And the final boss battle! This is so intense! I just discovered that if you jump just before he hits ground with his hammer/fists then you avoid being set in the air and hurt. Awesome stuff, I just hope the full game will have save or savepoints and will have as many cool ideas in other levels as in this demo | |

| Comments from Tom | posted - 03:20 PM CET - Feb,17 2004 | | Ya this game is cool. Love pinning guys to the walls. Have to agree, physics in this game rock better than UT..you shoot a guy in the should and he sticks to the wall with a stake through his shoulder slouching on the opposite side.. Total suprise that this game would be any good. | |
| Comments from stumpus | posted - 11:11 PM CET - Feb,17 2004 | | That final boss must have been about 100ft HIGH!!! I couldn't believe the physics when his hammer hit the deck and those bloody rocks went MILES into the sky!!! The perspective was frightening, especialy when he walked towards you and covered about a quarter of a mile in 3 steps LOL. The way the pillars crumbled is just friggin' AMAZING!!
This is as good as the *old days* gaming -the thought that has gone into this is brilliant. i for one will be buying this!
Well done DreamCatcher.
Jacob finish the game before compairing it to Serious Sam -which it isn't *nothing like*, apart from multiple monster attacks, but what game doesn't do that? | |
| Comments from callum | posted - 05:26 PM CET - Feb,18 2004 | | exactly this game is so friggin' fun killing them. Wish the bodies would stay. Then it would be more fun | |
| Comments from Bob | posted - 04:12 AM CET - Feb,23 2004 | | Is there no way to save game in the demo? | |
| Comments from bubba | posted - 10:00 PM CET - Feb,26 2004 | | Thought the demo was too simple minded | |
| Comments from Sean | posted - 01:26 AM CET - Feb,28 2004 | | Pretty spooky stuff. And Misterious Niciman is right - the physics are absolutely spot-on! Plus, who doesn't just fu**in' love pulling the trigger on that stake-shooter? Especially when you get a close-up look at the Louisville Slugger-sized log you just sent up some zombies ass! I just got done uninstalling Iron Storm - another FPS from Dreamcatcher, which is one of the worst games yet - and I'm happy to say: they definately got Painkiller right!
If I had to put it in a category, I'd say Serious Sam does Undying. Who cares though? This is going to do very nicely, while waiting for Doom3 and HL2. | | The old comment system has been replaced. Use the regular FORUMS!
