New IGI 2 SP Demo - demo

| As promised, Codemasters has released
the second single-player demo (125MB) for IGI 2: Covert Strike, offering
another opportunity to test drive Innerloop's imminent stealthy shooter. This
demo is set in a 1950s Soviet weather station, high in the Carpathian Mountains,
sporting a reconnaissance mission to track down a nano-technology chip held by

This game is going to go nowhere. Only has 50 servers and it's counting down day by day. Another game where the developers are listening to the 10 year olds at home. Plop! that's the sound of IGI2 going down the toilette. |

The game is a flop, anyone can see that from the server count and it goes down daily. It's another game that gets the wrong input. Fact is is once you are done single player the game is done. The multiplayer is gay and the realism in the game only goes so far. Falling 10ft and dying is gay and people shooting you from across map in a limb and killing you in one shot is even gayer. This game is absolutely no fun and from the selected input they are getting this game will likely be in the dollar bin after a month it's released. Guaranteed. Compared to what other options are out there, this game is the lowest.
Not only that I played the first demo clocked in at 116MB and then not even a patch they released a new demo at 116MB and I was extremely pissed off with the results. The game was bordering on fun in the first one except for gay falling damage and what do they do? They up the falling damage so now from 10ft drop you die. Now if this isn't gay, I don't know what else is. They should have called the Incredible Gravity Idiocy 2 |

If I was bart, I'd be more worried about his apparently fixation on all things gay. You die from a 5ft drop in bf1942 (among other games) and you can die by shot to the leg in soldier of fortune 2, yet they both have strong multiplayer communities. You want overly anal realism then play Operation Flashpoint. I think you best wait for the game to hit the shelves before "gaying" everything about it. Afterall, you want something to criticize, start with C&C Generals, a game that even at its retail stage is nothing but a poor bug-ridden beta that over half the people who bought it cant even play. I found both the SP demo and the MP demo to be "alright" (note the lack of the word gay as bart would use), it does need some work but then again the beta's of every game in the past have always never been what the final turns out to be. The game comes out at the start of march (according to gonegold.com), so if you're a previous igi fan, then there will be plenty of reviews for your scrutiny. |
